The EG Awards: Celebrating real estate with purpose and pride

This year the EG Awards celebrate their 20th anniversary – two decades of recognising the very best things about the real estate sector. And we are keen to ensure the best party in the UK commercial real estate calendar is even bigger and better in 2024.

Over the past few years EG has reimagined the look and feel of awards ceremonies. We’ve made our awards more inclusive, fun and purposeful. The demand for black tie has gone. We encourage fancy footwear. We have asked you to go vegetarian or vegan-first as we seek to reduce our carbon footprint and contribute to the environment. We’ve switched to locally sourced fare. And we have dared to be innovative and thoughtful with the entertainment we provide.

And this year we’re taking it a step further. As we stand by the UK real estate sector as a friend, supporter and challenger amidst its ongoing transformation, we too aspire to evolve, change and deliver awards for the future – something distinctive and even more exceptional. And what better time to do that than at our 20th anniversary.

So this year, there will still be no black tie (but we do expect you to dress to impress). We will also continue to prioritise vegetarian and vegan choices, challenge and provoke with our entertainment and strive to promote and celebrate the purpose of the real estate sector. However, to mark 20 years of change and progress, we are moving east to Old Billingsgate, where we can promise a night like no other.

We will continue to celebrate the very best deals, developments, businesses, emerging talent, game-changers and the inspirations. Collaborating again with our friends at LandAid, we aim to explore how the EG Awards and real estate can join forces to help change the lives of the communities our businesses touch.

This year will be more special than any other. So whether you’re in it to win it or just want to be at the best night in property, make sure to put 21 November in your diary and join us for a night of celebrations.
