
Jackie Sadek
Director, Urban Strategy. Co-author Broken Homes
Sadek has more than 30 years’ experience in property, specialising in public-private sector partnerships, working with local authorities and investors. From 2014 to 2016 she was a full-time specialist adviser to the government on urban regeneration, and continues to work for DLUHC, DIT and DfT on an advisory basis. Sadek was founder and chief operating officer of UK Regeneration, which achieved a planning consent for 1,500 homes in a garden settlement in Bedfordshire, in partnership with Homes England. She now runs Urban Strategy, a bespoke urban regeneration consultancy. Sadek was a member of Grimsey Review team on the future of the high street, reporting in 2013, 2018 and 2020. Sadek is the co-author of Broken Homes, a book on the housing crisis written with former EG editor Peter Bill, which was published in October 2020.
